Public littering unchecked in Koksar Gram Panchayat: Admin

Shimla, June 5 (UNI) District Administration and local self Governmet couldn't ensure the proper disposal of plastic and other Non-biodegradable waste as food eatries and tourusts are continuing littering the public places along North Portal of Rohtang tunnel.
The disposal of non-recyclable and other waste materials are being thrown beside the toads in Koksar Gram Panchayat of Lahaul-Spiti district. Notably, recently a team of State pollution control board and district administration visited the both side of Attal Tunnel and ensured that garbage collection to be ensured on the foodstalls.
Plastic material and single use plastic material are strictly prohibited in the state, however, tourists and locals people are dumping the waste material including plastic waste.
