Punjab BJP leader alleges SAD candidate submitted fake SC certificate

Phagwara, July 15 (UNI) Punjab BJP leader Sucha Ram Ladhar on Monday said he has lodged complaints with the National SC Commission (NSCC) and National Election Commission alleging that Shiromani Akali Dal nominee in the recent Jalandhar West Assembly seat by-polls Surjit Kaur had submitted a fake SC certificate.
Ladhar, BJP SC Morcha President, Punjab, said he has written in the letter that many high caste people in the state were using "fake" SC certificates for admissions in professional colleges and universities and also to get jobs.
He alleged that the menace of fake certificates has come to the level that even high caste Rajpoots have started "procuring SC certificates and contesting elections".
