Punjab Govt declares paid holiday on July 10 for voters of Jalandhar West constituency

Chandigarh, June 26 (UNI) In view of by-poll in Jalandhar West, the Punjab Government declared a paid holiday on July 10 to the voters of Jalandhar West constituency who are employees working in the shops and commercial establishments and for workers working in the factories in the State.
An official spokesperson said here on Tuesday that the Department of Personnel has issued two various notifications in this regard.
According to these notifications, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to declare Wednesday, falling on July 10, to be a closed day for voters of the 34 Jalandhar West (SC) Assembly Constituency working in shops and commercial establishments in Punjab, in lieu of a closed day falling on any day between July 7 and July 13.
