Punjab on red alert after Delhi blast; security tightened across state

Chandigarh, Nov 10 (UNI) Following the deadly explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station that claimed several lives, Punjab has been placed on red alert with heightened security measures across all districts.
Police commissioners and senior superintendents of police have been directed to remain vigilant, while additional personnel have been deployed in sensitive and crowded areas.
Security checks on vehicles and individuals have been intensified at key points, including railway stations, bus terminals, and markets. Authorities have appealed to citizens to report any suspicious activity or unattended objects immediately to the police. Security agencies are said to be monitoring the situation closely. Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh have also been put on high alert.

SGPGI develops SOP on 'End-of-Life Care', to share it with health experts on January 16
