Punjab youth drowns in Beas

Shimla, June 14 (UNI) A youth from Punjab drowned in the Beas river after slipping near Bindravani in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh on Friday.
The accident took place around 6.30 am. Despite the efforts of the SDRF and a team of divers from Sundarnagar, no trace of the youth has been found yet.
Reports indicate that the heatwave has been driving people towards water bodies, leading them to take dangerous risks.
