Raj–Uddhav Alliance Will Split Marathi Votes, Benefit Mahayuti: Ramdas Athawale

Sangli, Dec 14 (UNI) union Minister and Republican Party of India (RPI) leader Ramdas Athawale claimed here on Sunday that if Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray come together, it will lead to a split in Marathi votes in Mumbai, directly benefiting the Mahayuti alliance.
He stated that Uddhav Thackeray should not have made the mistake of aligning with Raj Thackeray, asserting that the MNS chief would not prove beneficial for Uddhav, but instead cause him significant political loss.
Athawale said, "When Raj Thackeray was with us during the Lok Sabha elections, we did not gain much. However, in the Assembly elections, even without Raj Thackeray, we benefited significantly. This clearly shows that an alliance with Raj Thackeray is not necessarily advantageous from an electoral perspective."
