Red Fort blast: CM announces Rs 10 lakh to next of kin of dead

New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of those killed in the Red Fort car bomb blast, while those who developed a disability will receive Rs 5 lakh. The seriously injured victims will be given Rs 2 lakh each, and those with minor injuries will be given Rs 20,000.
At least 13 people were killed, and over 24 injured in the car bomb blast that took place near the Red Fort Metro station on Monday evening.
Expressing deep condolences to the next of kin of those killed in the explosion, the CM described the incident as extremely tragic, and heart rending.

Delhi implements law regulating school fees with three-tier framework

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) In a major reform aimed at curbing arbitrary fee hikes in private schools, the Delhi government has notified the Delhi School of Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Act, 2025, a legislation that significantly expands regulatory oversight and replaces the 1973 fee regulation framework.
Lieutenant-Governor V.K. Saxena issued the Gazette notification on Wednesday, bringing more than 1,500 private, unaided schools in the capital under the ambit of the new law.
