Rescued Mysuru tiger cubs die of suspected viral infection

Mysuru, Dec 10 (UNI) Four tiger cubs rescued by the Karnataka Forest Department last month died at a rescue and rehabilitation facility on the outskirts of Mysuru, with officials suspecting a viral infection as the cause, according to information shared on Wednesday.
Forest officials said a tigress and her four cubs, all around four months old, were first sighted near Gowdanakatte village in Hunsur taluk, close to the forest fringes.
Following repeated sightings, the department trapped the tigress and shifted her to the Chamundi Animal Conservation, Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre at Koorgalli on November 27.
