Residents block road, chant Hanuman Chalisa after part of temple demolished in Gurugram

Chandigarh, Nov 18 (UNI) Tension gripped Sector-85's Pyramid Heights Society of Gurugram on Tuesday morning when residents sat in the middle of the road reciting Hanuman Chalisa, protesting the demolition of a portion of an under-construction Shiv temple.
The crowd blocked traffic and raised slogans against the police and district administration.
The protest comes a day after a joint administrative team arrived at the housing complex and pulled down a section of the temple structure, terming it an unauthorised construction. Despite objections from residents, the team continued the demolition with police support.
