RG Kar victim’s parents allege gaps in CBI probe, express discontent in Court

Kolkata, June 5 (UNI) The parents of the junior postgraduate trainee doctor who was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in 2024, have raised serious concerns over what they described as significant gaps in the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) probe into the case
Appearing before the Sealdah Court on Friday, the victim’s parents questioned several developments following the discovery of their daughter’s body. They pointed to what they termed a “fish market-like crowd” at the crime scene and alleged that the body was cremated in haste through a “green corridor” arrangement, raising concerns about the handling of evidence.
The parents also voiced dissatisfaction with the CBI investigation, alleging that the agency was not taking into consideration information they wished to provide.
