SAIL will host steel conclave to showcase India’s self-reliance and global competitiveness

New Delhi, Sept 6 (UNI) The Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is set to host its ‘Steel Conclave 2025’ on September 8,9 and 10 here.
The theme of the year is ‘Steel for Aatmanirbhar Bharat: Driving Sustainability and Growth’ emphasising how India’s steel sector can accelerate self-reliance while advancing global competitiveness.
Naveen Jindal, President of the Indian Steel Association, said, “ This Conclave is not merely a platform for ideas but for action. Together, we are working towards a resilient, future-ready steel sector that strengthens India’s position globally while addressing sustainability imperatives."
First day of the event will be graced by dignitaries, including HD Kumaraswamy, union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, and Bhupathiraju Srinavasa Varma, union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, along with top industry leaders.
On the second day of the event, Technology Showcasing Breakouts will run parallel to a collaborative session on Green Hydrogen Transition jointly organised with the International Solar Alliance.
This summit will also feature the B2B meetings for fostering global partnerships and business opportunities.
ISA represents India’s leading steel producers and works closely with the Government and stakeholders on policy initiatives.

CCEA raises MSP for Kharif crops for 2026-27, announces major hike for sunflower, cotton

New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today approved an increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for 14 Kharif crops for the 2026-27 marketing season, with the sharpest hikes announced for sunflower seed, cotton, nigerseed and sesamum, as the government sought to ensure higher returns to farmers ahead of the sowing season.
