Salary cut deferment withdrawn for ministers, legislators in Himachal

Shimla, Jun 10 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government on Wednesday withdrew the deferment of salaries of Ministers, Members of the Council of Ministers, the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Members of the Legislative Assembly, while continuing the Chief Minister’s voluntary 50 per cent salary deferment until further orders.
In a notification issued by the General Administration Department (Parliamentary Affairs), Governor Kavinder Gupta has partially modified the earlier notification dated April 18, 2026, under powers conferred by Articles 162 and 166 of the Constitution of India.
The notification stated that the deferment of salaries of the Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and MLAs has been withdrawn with immediate effect. The deferred amount pertaining to these functionaries will be released along with the salary for June 2026, payable in July 2026.

Haryana bets on air ambulance network, plans helicopter access near 5 medical colleges

Chandigarh, Jul 21 (UNI) Haryana has accelerated plans to build a state-wide helicopter emergency response network, with the government deciding to upgrade helipads near five major medical colleges to expand air ambulance services and reduce the time taken to transport critically ill and accident victims
