Seat-sharing discord in 'Mahagathbandhan' could benefit NDA: Athawale

Nagpur, Oct 16 (UNI) union Minister Ramdas Athawale today pointed to ongoing disagreements within Bihar’s opposition alliance, the Mahagathbandhan, over the distribution of assembly seats.
He suggested that if the alliance partners fail to reach a consensus and decide to contest separately, it would ultimately work in favor of the NDA by improving its electoral prospects.
Speaking at a press conference in Nagpur, Athawale said, “There appears to be discord within the Mahagathbandhan regarding seat allocation. It would be better if they can resolve their differences. But if they go their separate ways, it will help the NDA secure more seats.”
