Sharif hopeful of resumption of India-Pakistan dialogue

EXTERNAL-SHARIF-INDIA

New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) Hours after his brief meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Paris, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed the hope that India and Pakistan would soon resume their stalled  bilateral dialogue.
''We have high hopes…God willing,'' he told TV channels yesterday in Paris, when asked about the possibility of the resumption of dialogue between the two South Asian neighbours.
Mr Sharif declined to say anything when pointed out that India was insisting on talks only on the issue of terror.
On his discussions with Mr Modi on the fringes of the global climate meet in Paris, he said the Indian Prime Minister also was of the view that the two countries should move forward on issues between them. ''We had good talks in a good atmosphere.''
