Shouting in Delhi assembly leads to adjournment , mayor election gets deferred

New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) Elections for the posts of Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Standing Committee members for Municipal Corporation of Delhi got postponed for the third consecutive time and proceedings of the House were adjourned due to uproar.
Due to the uproar in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Monday, the election of the Mayor had to be postponed. At present, the House has been adjourned till the next date.
The exercise for the post of Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi started once again on Monday. As soon as the meeting of the House begins, the presiding officer Satya Sharma has announced that the election of the mayor, deputy mayor and members of the standing committee will be held simultaneously and the nominated members will also take part in the voting. The Aam Aadmi Party started an uproar after the nominations were announced to participate in the voting.
