Smriti, Deepti shine in India’s dominant win over Pakistan in T20 WC opener

New Delhi, Jun 14 (UNI) Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana's sparkling half-century and a stunning five-wicket haul from star allrounder Deepti Sharma powered India to a commanding 64-run victory over Pakistan in their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Group A opener in Birmingham on Sunday.
After helping India post a formidable 170/6, Deepti returned with the ball to produce a match-winning spell of 5/10 as Pakistan were bundled out for just 106 in 17 overs.
