Soldier arrested for wife's murder

Bareilly (UP), Nov 30 (UNI) A soldier posted at the Jat Regiment was arrested from Cantt area of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday on charges of killing his wife, a police officer said.
Inspector Balbir Singh said the body of police constable Shikha Nayan (26) was recovered on November 14. "There were injury marks on the face and the body," he said.
The viscera report revealed that Shikha was poisoned after which her husband Akash Kumar was arrested and sent to jail. Shikha, a resident of Ladwari village in Baghpat district, joined the police in 2019.
