STF secures the deportation of a Haryana gangster associate from Cyprus

Chandigarh, June 12 (UNI) In a breakthrough against organised crime, the Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana has secured the deportation of alleged gangster associate Dinesh alias Mittu from Cyprus. The accused was brought back to India on June 12, marking the 11th deportation or extradition secured by STF Haryana in 2026.
Dinesh, 29, a resident of Khairampur village in Hisar district, is alleged to be associated with the Kala Khairampur Gang and the Himanshu Bhau Gang, both of which have been linked to several serious criminal activities, including murder, attempted murder, extortion, targeted killings, and illegal use of firearms across Haryana and neighbouring states.
According to STF officials, preliminary investigations revealed that Dinesh had been operating from Cyprus and was allegedly facilitating extortion activities through illegal "Dabba Calling" networks. These communication channels were reportedly used to conceal the identities and locations of gang members and overseas-based criminals while coordinating extortion and other organised criminal activities.
