Suicide of RSS worker Anand Thampi sparks political controversy in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 17 (UNI) A tragic incident has shaken Kerala’s political circles as an RSS worker, Anand Thampi, reportedly ended his life after being denied a seat in the Thiruvananthapuram municipal elections.
Anand, a resident of Thirumala, had reportedly faced pressure from party associates after deciding to contest as an independent candidate from the Thrikkannapuram ward. Poojappura police have launched a detailed investigation into the suicide.
Police officials are recording statements from individuals mentioned in Anand’s suicide note, focusing on whether any external pressure contributed to his decision.
