Suryakumar fires fresh 'Asia Cup' barb

Brisbane, Nov 8 (UNI) India T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav on Saturday took a cheeky swipe at the ongoing Asia Cup trophy controversy while speaking to reporters after India's 2-1 series win over Australia, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) moved closer to resolving the matter with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president Mohsin Naqvi.
India had won the Asia Cup 2025 in the United Arab Emirates under Suryakumar's leadership, remaining unbeaten and defeating arch-rivals Pakistan three times, including in the final.
However, the presentation ceremony was marred by diplomatic tension, with India declining to receive the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, who subsequently left with it. The trophy has since remained with the PCB.
