New Delhi, Jun 29 (UNI) Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who will soon be seen in Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni biopic, will portray an astronaut in "India's first space odyssey" titled 'Chandamama Door Ke'. Directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chahuan, the film's plot revolves around a group of astronauts who set out to space to complete a special mission that will bring the country together. Chahuan is best known for directing 2010's sports drama 'Lahore', based on a duel between an Indian and Pakistani kickboxer. The film won two National Film Awards including the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director for Chahuan. The actor in a statement said, "It promises to be an epic film that has not been attempted before and I'm really excited to be a part of it." He added, "Our story isn't based on anyone in particular but is inspired by multiple incidents that occurred in the past. It traces the journey of India's space programme and culminates with the country's first astronaut landing on the moon in 2017-18."
