New Delhi, Feb 12 (UNI) Declaring that inflation in India is at its lowest level in years and firmly under control, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that there is “no inflation crisis” in the country, asserting that price stability has been achieved through deliberate policy action rather than chance.
Shimla, Feb 8 (UNI) Defending the union Government’s decision to discontinue the Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG), union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Saturday said the grant was never intended to be a permanent arrangement and that long-term fiscal stability of states can be achieved only through revenue enhancement and strict expenditure discipline.
