Telangana: BJP delayed fuel price hike until after elections, alleges Sridhar Babu

Sangareddy, May 15 (UNI) Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Friday alleged that the BJP-led Central Government deliberately delayed the recent petrol and diesel price hike until after elections in several states and accused it of misleading the public on fuel prices.
Addressing the media after a review meeting with district officials in Sangareddy, Sridhar Babu criticised the Centre for increasing petrol and diesel prices by Rs 3, stating that the hike had imposed an additional burden on poor and middle-class families.
“The BJP government has once again increased the burden on common people. When international crude oil prices declined over the years, the Centre never passed on the benefit to the public,” the minister remarked.
