Telangana Cabinet clears municipal elections, approves Metro Phase-2 land acquisition, and Godavari Pushkaram plans

Hyderabad, Jan 18 (UNI) Telangana Revenue, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday night said the State Cabinet has approved the holding of municipal and corporation elections in Telangana, and decided to conduct the polls at the earliest.
Several key decisions were taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at Haritha Hotel, Medaram, in Mulugu district on Sunday evening. Later, Ponguleti, along with Ministers Seethakka and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, briefed the media on the outcomes of the meeting.
Ponguleti said the Cabinet meeting in Medaram was the 27th Cabinet meeting and described it as a historic first, held outside Hyderabad. He said the meeting was conducted at the initiative of Minister Seethakka with the consensus of the Chief Minister and Cabinet colleagues.
