Telangana forms panel to identify statehood movement activists

Hyderabad, May 15 (UNI) Acting on the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the Telangana Government has constituted a special committee to identify individuals who participated in the Telangana statehood movement and recognise their services and sacrifices.
The General Administration Department issued G.O. Rt. No. 679 on Friday, formalising the constitution of the committee. The government stated that the decision was taken in response to long-standing demands seeking official recognition for Telangana movement activists, many of whom had faced imprisonment, injuries, and hardships during the agitation.
Government Advisor K Keshava Rao has been appointed Chairman of the committee. The members include BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, MLC M Kodandaram, Government Whip Addanki Dayakar, former MLC S. Ramulu Naik, and Mothe Shobhan Reddy. The Political Secretary of the General Administration Department will serve as the Convener.

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI): Doctors at Kamineni Hospitals on Tuesday said that they have successfully reconstructed the jaw of a 39-year-old man using bone and tissue from his leg after oral cancer caused by a prolonged history of gutkha chewing and smoking destroyed a portion of his jawbone.
