Hyderabad, Aug 15 (UNI) Telangana on Saturday recorded 1,863 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the overall tally to 90,259, said the state health authorities.
The state has further recorded 10 fresh COVID-19 deaths, which has brought the number of fatalities to 684.
Meanwhile, 1,912 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, translating the recovery rate to 73.34 as against the national average of 71.16 per cent. The number of total recoveries in the state stood at 66,196 so far.
On Friday, 21,239 tests were conducted, while the results of 664 swab samples were pending. Till date, 7,32,435 COVID-19 tests had been conducted in the state. There were now 23,379 active cases in the state, the bulletin added.
The new coronavirus cases reported on Friday include 394 cases from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits, 175 (Medchal Malkajgiri) 131 (Rangareddy district),104 (Karimnagar), 90 (Rajanna Siricilla, 81 (Sangareddy), 61 (Khammam).
