Srinagar, Jul 20 (UNI) Terrorists on Tuesday evening barged into the house of a policeman at the Verinag area of the South Kashmir’s Anantnag district and fired indiscriminately in which his wife and daughter were injured, Kashmir Police said.
The policeman has been identified as Sajad Ahmad, resident of Kokagund Verinag.
"Terrorists this evening barged into the house of police personnel Sajad Ah at Kokagund, Verinag & fired indiscriminately. In this terror incident, his wife Nahida and daughter Mahida received gunshot injuries, the police said in a tweet.
The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital and the area has been cordoned off.
