Three held with AK-47 rifle, Glock pistols ahead of Diwali in Punjab

Chandigarh, Oct 14 (UNI) In a major operation to ensure security during the festive season, the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar has arrested three individuals and seized a cache of weapons, including an AK-47 rifle, three Glock pistols, and a large quantity of ammunition.
According to Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, the recovery included one AK-47 rifle with two magazines and 60 live cartridges, as well as three Glock pistols with seven magazines and 50 live rounds.
The arrested suspects were identified as Gurwinder Singh alias Ginder of Sangrai village in Gurdaspur, Vipan Kumar alias Manish of Marrianwal in Batala, and Chamkor Singh of Natt village in Gurdaspur district.
