Three missing children found dead in Meerut, families allege murder

Meerut, Aug 4 (UNI) The bodies of three children missing since yesterday in Meerut's Siwalkhas town were found early today morning in a water-filled vacant plot, sending shockwaves through the community.
Locals gathered in large numbers and staged a protest at the local police outpost, accusing the authorities of inaction.
Police said the deceased have been identified as Ritik (8), son of Himmat; Manvi (9), daughter of Jitendra; and Shivansh alias Shibu (8), son of Monu.

The court made it clear that while violent demonstrations can be prosecuted as rioting or vandalism, they cannot simply be branded as sedition to lock people up.
