Bengaluru, Nov 30 (UNI) TiE Bangalore, the pioneering chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) in India, on Thursday announced the forthcoming TiE Global Summit (TGS) 2024, slated to be held in December next year in Bengaluru.
This milestone event marks TiE Bengaluru's collaboration with the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and supports their ‘Beyond Bengaluru’ initiatives in Mysuru,Mangaluru and Hubballi.
The prestigious event is set to be a grand celebration of entrepreneurship, spotlighting Karnataka's pivotal role in shaping India's vibrant entrepreneurial landscape.
With a theme focused on "Putting Entrepreneurship First," TGS 2024 aims to accentuate the larger narrative of entrepreneurship, transcending the boundaries of traditional startups.
"TiE Global Summit 2024 is our collective ode to the spirit of entrepreneurship, and we are thrilled to host this esteemed event in Bengaluru, a vibrant hub of innovation and enterprise," TiE President Madan Padaki told reporters here on the sidelines of Bengaluru Tech Summit.
"This summit will amplify the significance of entrepreneurship beyond startups, showcasing Karnataka's leading role in fostering a diverse and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem."
Under Padaki's leadership, TiE Bengaluru has amassed a robust membership of 15,000, including 3,000 entrepreneurs, with over 1,000 members based solely in Bengaluru. The state proudly hosts the highest number of TiE chapters, illustrating its unwavering entrepreneurial fervor.
KDEM CEO Sanjeev Kumar Gupta emphasized Karnataka's pivotal role in India's entrepreneurial narrative. "Karnataka's entrepreneurial landscape encompasses over 20,000 entrepreneurs and leads the nation in unicorn creations," stated Gupta. "TiE Global Summit 2024 embodies KDEM's mission of democratizing entrepreneurship, extending robust startup ecosystems similar to Bengaluru across various regions."
A series of global events leading up to TGS 2024 aims to nurture thousands of entrepreneurs and position Karnataka as a premier global entrepreneurial destination.
As part of the preparations, TiE Bengaluru has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Algorand Technologies. The collaboration aims to harness each organization's strengths, catalyzing India's capabilities in decentralized technologies and fostering an inclusive, decentralized, and borderless global economy based on Algorand blockchain technology.
Highlighting the TiE Women Global Pitching Competition, Padaki noted Karnataka's robust participation, culminating in Ms. Akshita Sachdeva, Co-founder and Director of Trestle Labs | Kibo from Bengaluru, emerged as the deserving winner after a rigorous selection process.
TiE Global Summit 2024 will be a testament to Karnataka's commitment to nurturing and celebrating entrepreneurship, transcending the confines of mere startups, and aiming to revolutionize India's entrepreneurial narrative.
