Timely completion of national highway projects required: Tamang

Gangtok, Nov 29 (UNI) Sikkim Chief Minister P S Tamang on Tuesday directed National Highway Authority of India officials to complete the construction and laying of roads within schedule and stressed better coordination between state and central agencies for the better outcomes of projects.
Tamang, who presided over a review meeting during the day, asked about the status of the work on the Highway.
On being informed about damages caused during the road construction, especially due to improper disposal of boulders having damaged the Solid Waste Management Plant in Martam, East Sikkim and left over construction material causing harm to private property, he askes NHAI officials to be careful so as to avoid damage to public and private property.
