TN: Court awards lifer to 3 men for attempting to murder Puthiya Tamilagam prez

Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu), Oct 4 (UNI) A lower court in Tirunelveli on Wednesday sentenced three men to life imprisonment for attempting to murder Puthiya Tamilagam (PT) party founder president Dr.K.Krishnasamy in 2004.

According to the prosecution, an unidentified gang hurled country-made bombs on a car in which Dr.Krishnasamy and two other party men were returning to Tirunelveli on July 26 in 2004, after attending a hearing in a murder case in Ambasamuthiram court.
