TN: Law Minister hospitalized, undergoes angioplasty

Tiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu), Jan 25 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Law Minister S Regupathy (74) underwent an angioplasty at a private hospital in Tiruchirapalli city on Saturday after he complained of chest discomfort and dizziness.
Regupathy, representing Thirumayam assembly constituency in Pudukottai district, had complained of chest discomfort and dizziness shortly before he was about to board a Chennai-bound aircraft from Tiruchirapalli International Airport.
The Minister was rushed to the hospital, where a team of cardiologists detected he had a blockage in the coronary artery after the medical tests and subsequently the angioplasty was done.

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 10 (UNI) Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh on Monday launched at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) the first experimental prototype of an automated biomedical waste conversion rig that can disinfect pathogenic biomedical waste such as blood, urine, sputum, and laboratory disposables and convert them into soil additives.
