TN reports 4,328 new positive cases, 66 deaths since last 24 hrs, fatalities tally crosses 2,000 mark

Chennai, Jul 13 (UNI) The Coronavirus death toll in Tamil Nadu crossed 2,000-mark on Monday with 66 new fatalities while the number of positive cases crossed 1.42 lakh mark, as the state reported 4,328 new infections in the past 24 hours.
The cumulative tally of COVID-19 cases is now 1,42,798 and the total deaths was 2,032.
Health department in its bulletin said a record number of 16,54,008 samples of people were tested in 105 government and private labs all over the state till date, including 44,560 samples of persons during the past 24 hours.
As many as 3,035 COVID-19 positive patients were discharged today after they had recovered and the number of recoveries till date was 92,567.
Presently, there were 48,196 patients undergoing treatment, including those in isolation wards and all of them were under active medical supervision, the bulletin said.
