Tributes to KB, Achi, rich fare for Chennai Intl. film festival from Dec10

Chennai, Dec 1 (UNI) Tributes to Dadasaheb Phalke award winning Tamil film Director
and ace comedianne and singer Manorama will be among the highlights of the Chennai
Interrnational Film Festival to be held here from December 10 to 17. Eight of their films
will be screened.
According to the organizers, the annual film extravaganza will feature 12 Tamil films.
in the competition section. Eleven films will make it to the Indian Panorama section
Another highlight will be celebration of 120 years of Hollywood film legend Buster Keaton.
Six of his films will be screened at the festival this year. The counry focus will be on cinema
in China from where four films, and on ,Venezuela of which six films wold be screeed.
The Retrospective section will feature the famous German film maker · Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Seven of his films would be shown, Nils Malmoros of Denmark (6 films) will also figure in this this section.
The World Cinema will feature 123 films, while Oscar entries would also be screened. .
