Tripura HC seeks reply from state government over post-poll violence

Agartala, March 22 (UNI) The High Court of Tripura on Tuesday sought an affidavit from the state government within four weeks after registering a suo-moto public interest litigation over massive
post-poll and post-result violence across the state over a month.
According to the statement of opposition CPI(M), around 1500 incidents of violence mostly on the opposition party supporters and workers were reported across Tripura from February 16 last with the conclusion of vote casting, which has increased in manifolds after the announcement of results on March 2 and still been continuing.
