Tripura is my second home: Mamata

Agartala, Feb 6 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee along with party’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Monday arrived in Assembly poll-bound Tripura to campaign for her party candidates contesting in 28 seats.
Terming Tripura as her ‘second home’, Banerjee told media at MBB airport here that when BJP’s atrocities and undemocratic activities were at its extreme during 2021, TMC had stood with the people and prevented the ‘fascist’ rule of BJP.
"MPs including Sushmita Dev, Kakali Dastidas, Abhishek Banerjee, Dola Sen and others also came under attack by ruling party goons in presence of police during the urban local bodies election. The BJP government failed to provide security for the parliamentarians. I come here to tell those incidents once again to the people of the state,” Banerjee stated.
