Trump lifts ban on 2k-pound bombs to Israel - Reports

Washington, Jan 26 (UNI) US President Donald Trump has ordered to reverse the previous administration's ban on deliveries of 2,000-pound (908-kilogram) bombs to Israel to be lifted, Axios reported, citing three Israeli sources.
The sources also clarified that 1,800 MK-84 class bombs stored in US warehouses would be loaded onto ships and delivered to Israel in the coming days.
In May 2024, former US President Joe Biden told CNN that if Israel invaded Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the US would stop supplying it with artillery shells, aerial bombs and other offensive weapons. As Axios noted, the cutoff included a batch of 500- and 2,000-pound (227- and 908-kilogram) aerial bombs.
