TTD declares a hundi collection of Rs1591 cr in its Annual budget for 2023-24

Tirupati, Mar 22 (UNI) One of the country’s most popular shrine, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has projected an annual budget of Rs 4411.68 crores for FY 2023-24 .
Prominent highlights of the budget approved by TTD trust board and announced on Wednesday included a whopping Hundi collection Rs 1591 crores, earnings from Laddu Prasadam etc at Rs 500 crore, interests on FDs etc Rs 813 crore, Rs 330 from Darshan tickets sale and Rs 135 crore towards arjita sevas. Rooms and Kalyana Mandapams Rs 129 crore and Rs 126 crore for tonsured hair sale.
On the expenditure side it displayed Rs 1532 crore towards HR payment (salaries to its contract and permanent employees) and only Rs 93 crore towards dharmic programs, Rs 420 crore towards engineering works.
