Uddhav to camp in Nashik for 3 days amid party crisis

Nashik July 9 (UNI) With the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction in Nashik weakened due to his party leaders switching loyalty to the BJP and the Shinde-led Shiv Sena, party chief Uddhav Thackeray is now stepping in personally to revive the organization. He is scheduled to camp in Nashik for three days July-end to strengthen the local party structure.
The Thackeray faction in Nashik is currently facing a crisis. In the run-up to the upcoming local body elections, several senior leaders, including Sudhakar Badgujar, former corporators, and office bearers, have quit the party. In a recent setback, Mama Rajwade, who was entrusted with the crucial responsibility of city chief, was reportedly planning to join the BJP, forcing the party to suspend him.
Against this backdrop, Thackeray’s planned visit is aimed at bringing about changes in the party's local organization. Major structural reforms and reshuffles within the party's local executive committee are expected. Thackeray is also likely to focus on empowering loyal leaders and grassroots workers in preparation for the municipal elections, said a Shiv Sena (UBT) leader today.
