Union MOS inspects flagship programmes in Manipur

Imphal, Kakching, Jan 18 (UNI) union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu concluded his two-day visit to Manipur on Sunday, during which he reviewed the implementation of key central flagship programmes in Kakching district.
On the second day of his visit, the Minister inspected houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-U) at Ward No. 7 under the Kakching Municipal Council. He also visited Salam Project Pukhri Achouba, which has been rejuvenated under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0.
Later, Sahu interacted with members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) formed under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) near Leibaklei Gas. He also inspected the Moramba Solid Waste Management site under the Swachh Bharat Mission at Kakching Moramba, managed by the Kakching Municipal Council.

Odisha Assembly adjourned till 4 PM amid uproar over paddy procurement crisis

Bhubaneswar, Feb 18 (UNI) The Odisha Legislative Assembly witnessed chaotic scenes on Wednesday as Opposition members from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Indian National Congress staged protests over alleged irregularities in paddy procurement and distress sales by farmers.
The uproar forced Speaker Surama Padhy to adjourn the House till 4 PM without conducting any business.

Meghalaya assembly Speaker disallows adjournment motion on coal mine blast

Assam BJP wants single phase elections before Rongali Bihu: CM
