Lucknow, Jul 12(UNI) As the 55-hour-long lockdown-like restrictions announced in Uttar Pradesh to break the chain of the Coronavirus progressing for the second consecutive day on Sunday, the Yogi Adityanath government has decided to go for such restrictions on every weekends.
The decision of re-imposition of restrictions on every Saturday and Sunday was taken by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in consultation with state ministers and senior officials during the routine 'Team 11' meeting .
A senior government official while confirming the decision said that all the markets, business establishments and road traffic will be restricted on weekends.
Now all the markets will open from Monday to Friday and they will be closed for two days.
The restrictions would commence on Friday night and will end on Monday early morning every week.
Earlier, the UP government has contradicted any such move to extend the restriction beyond Monday and claimed that such reports are wrongly circulated.
