US to export oil and gas to India despite climate change concerns

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) The United States will continue exporting oil and gas to India and the Strategic Energy Partnership between the two countries would grow even as Biden administration accords top priority to climate change issues, says the State Department.
India has been importing oil and natural gas from the US. Given that the administration has a top priority of climate change, there are questions whether that will continue.
Asked whether the administration is reviewing the export policy on the oil and natural gas, Department spokesperson Ned Price said, "Our broad energy cooperation with India under the Strategic Energy Partnership is strong and will continue growing even as the administration prioritizes climate change issues."
