Venezuelan President Maduro vows to protect territorial sovereignty midst US pressure, prepares for potential ‘armed struggle’

Caracas/Washington, Sep 6 (UNI) Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has warned that his country will enter a stage of active military preparedness and “armed struggle” if attacked, as tensions with the United States escalate.
“If Venezuela were attacked in any way, it would move into a stage of planned and organised armed struggle by all its people against aggression — whether local, regional, or national — in defence of peace, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and our people,” Maduro said on Friday.
The remarks follow the latest deterioration in relations between Caracas and Washington, fuelled by new US tariffs, tighter immigration measures and increased military activity in the Caribbean.
