Veteran Bollywood actor Prem Chopra hospitalised due to age-related health concerns

Mumbai, Nov 10 (UNI) Veteran Bollywood actor Prem Chopra, aged 90, has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Bandra for medical treatment related to age-associated health issues.
The acclaimed actor, who has featured in more than 300 Hindi films, was brought to the hospital on Saturday after his family noticed complications linked to advancing age.
Family members have confirmed that Chopra’s condition is stable and that there is no cause for major concern. They said his hospitalisation is precautionary and that he is under continuous medical observation.
The actor is currently receiving specialised care under the supervision of Dr. Nitin Gokhale, the family’s long-time cardiologist, along with a dedicated medical team monitoring his progress.
Hospital sources indicated that Chopra is responding well to treatment and is expected to be discharged within the next few days, once doctors are satisfied with his recovery and overall stability.
Prem Chopra remains one of the most recognisable figures in Indian cinema, having built a distinguished career that spans several decades.
Renowned for his memorable performances as both a villain and character actor, he has appeared in numerous landmark films that have shaped Hindi cinema’s golden era.
His celebrated filmography includes Shaheed, Upkar, Do Raaste, Kati Patang, Bobby, Do Anjaane, Kranti, and Dostana, among many others.
Over the years, his distinctive screen presence and iconic dialogue delivery have earned him immense respect and affection from audiences and colleagues alike. Fans and members of the film fraternity have expressed their best wishes for his swift recovery.
