Vijay joins anti-SIR chorus, blames EC for keeping everyone in dark about its purpose

Chennai, Nov 15 (UNI) Joining the chorus against the Election Commission’s ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral
rolls, actor-turned neta and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) President today squarely blamed the poll panel for the reigning confusion and the lingering doubts in the minds of the electorate about their status as a voter.
“The right to vote is the most important right guaranteed by the Indian Constitution for us in Tamil Nadu. As it concerns our lives, it is vital for anyone to be identified as alive,” he said in a video message, posted on his ‘X’ timeline, asking, “Will you believe that none in Tamil Nadu have any right to vote. Not only me, it is the predicament of lakhs of people.”
