Vijayendra predicts political change after Bihar polls

Mysuru, Oct 5 (UNI) Karnataka BJP president Vijayendra Yediyurappa today predicted political changes in the state after the Bihar elections, pointing to confusion within the ruling Congress.
Vijayendra referred to power struggle between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, saying that Congress MLAs are openly discussing leadership change. "No one in the Congress leadership is denying a change. This indicates that political instability is likely in the state," he said.
Responding to questions on BJP's role amid potential political shifts, Vijayendra said the party would act as a responsible opposition. He noted that BJP's seats have fallen from 66 to 63 but stressed that the party will continue to focus on state issues. He accused the Congress of opposing development and being indifferent to the poor and farmers.
