WAAYU launches first zero-commission food delivery App, WAAYU in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 6 (UNI) WAAYU, India's pioneering zero-commission food delivery App, has officially launched in Hyderabad and Secunderabad on Wednesday, marking a major milestone in the city’s food delivery landscape.

Supported by the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and the Telangana State Hotels Association (TSHA), WAAYU aims to onboard over 3,000 restaurants in Hyderabad, offering consumers a seamless service with zero platform fees.

The grand launch event featured prominent stakeholders, including Rishi Gupta, Lead of ONDC's Food & Beverage category, Rohit Shaw, ONDC Vertical Head at PayTM, and Rushil Mohan, Co-Founder of logistics partner Pidge.

Founders Mandar Lande and Anirudha Kotgire emphasized the App’s mission to provide a cost-effective, sustainable model that eliminates commission fees and benefits both the restaurant ecosystem and consumers.

In his welcome address, Ashok Reddy, President of the Hyderabad Hotels Owners Confectioners Association (HHOCA), highlighted WAAYU’s role in empowering restaurant owners and consumers alike

Ashok Reddy shared that TSHA is pleased to support the WAAYU App, which aligns with its goal of creating a commission-free food delivery option for Hyderabad’s citizens. By collaborating with leading partners such as Tata Neu, Ola, PayTM, and logistics providers, WAAYU aims to make food delivery more affordable and accessible.

First launched in May 2023, WAAYU has already expanded across cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Jaipur, signing on over 5,000 restaurants.

With its AI-driven platform and a rapidly growing network, WAAYU plans to continue its nationwide expansion, democratizing India’s food delivery sector with a focus on supporting restaurant owners and consumers.

Lupin gets US FDA approval for multiple sclerosis tablet

Chennai, Dec 5 (UNI) Pharmaceutical major Lupin Ltd on Friday announced that it has received tentative approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Siponimod Tablets, 0.25 mg, 1 mg, and 2 mg.
This product would be manufactured at Lupin’s Pithampur facility in India.
