Will fight hard to end FIR & police verification culture if elected from Baramulla:Sajad Lone

Srinagar, May 20 (UNI) Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone on Monday said that he will fight hard to end the FIR and police verification culture if he was elected from Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency in the ongoing election.
Sajad is contesting from Baramulla parliamentary constituency and pitted against the National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah, Peoples Democratic Party candidate Fayaz Mir and jailed independent candidate Abdul Rashid Sheikh aka Engineer Rashid.
The PC chairman after casting his ballot at Handwara polling station said that “I promise if I am elected, the FIR and police verification culture which causes hindrance to our children will not exist anymore”.
He said “I will fight hard to end the FIR and verification culture, which is an important issue, if elected from Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency.'
When asked about his reaction for the high turnout in Baramulla Constituency, Sajad said, “It is a good sign that people turned out in huge numbers to vote”.
“After God it is in the hands of people to whom they will choose”. “We went to the people and understood them. Now it is up to them to decide”, he said and added “I am very confident of winning but it is the people’s choice now on whom they want and press the button at the polling booth”.
