Workers above 40 among sensitive group: Mishra, lauds centre’s health check initiative

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) Delhi Labour Minister Kapil Mishra on Thursday said that the workers above the age of 40 are amongst individuals who belong to the 'most sensitive age group', and if their health screening is conducted in advance, the treatment can begin on time, helping them and their families to avoid hardships.
Mishra expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya for the initiative of annual health check-ups for workers aged 40 years and above, under the new Labour Code.
He assured that the social security and healthcare facilities for workers remain a priority for the Chief Minister Rekha Gupta-led Delhi Government, while addressing the launch event of the initiative at ESIC Medical College and Hospital, situated at Basai Darapur, in West Delhi.
